Ritchie’s Birthday, May 13th, 2022 would’ve been his 81st birthday, it’s also the date scheduled for the re-naming of the Pacoima Post Office to The Ritchie Valens Station. A Plaque will be unveiled, various members of Ritchie’s family along with local elected officials and community members will be present for the ceremony which takes place at the Pacoima Post Office 13707 Van Nuys Blvd, Pacoima CA 91331 ceremony is from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
We would like to congratulate Mia, Ritchie’s great-niece for her submission of the artwork that was approved by the United States Post Office for use as the cancellation stamp.
